Today was our last Legal theory class. It was quite sad to say goodbye to our first CBL International professor. After that we had an amazing tour, where we learned some inside history about the University of Oxford, the city, and its surroundings.

Our tour guide was an art student from Oxford, so he explained to us the enrolment process, the interviews, and also the graduation. It actually makes you want to study in Oxford just to have all this interesting initiation “parties” and graduation celebrations.

Oxford is such an amazing city, not only because of its university, but also its architecture, and history. The rivalry between colleagues is what makes the university so unique and also successful.

By the end of the day, we went to have lunch at a great Italian restaurant quite close to Oriel College. However my favourite dish was not actually fish and chips (which is a must here in England, or its pies) but it was Ramen, from a Chinese restaurant called Noodle Bar (it actually makes you feel like you’re in an anime).

In the evening, CBL International organised a film night, with snacks like popcorn and water (here in England they have a really funny flavour called salt and vinegar, that I personally don’t recommend at all!). The movie that we watched was called the History Boys, which is considered a piece of art in the British movie industry. Nevertheless in my opinion it was quite a strange and bizarre movie, which showed education of 8 boys before applying to Oxford and Cambridge.

Tomorrow we will have tax law, which I’m looking forward to, especially because it is the most interesting area in law in my opinion. Now it is time to prepare for my class, and maybe give the film a second thought.
