Today was the last day of my Oxford adventure but of course not the least !

It started with the final test of international taxation law. We had an hour and a half to answer to thirty questions about the lecture we had been following during the week. Usually, at least during the two tests I have been taking, the time is more than sufficient to finish.

Then, my friends and I decided to go to the city center and have a coffee at Caffe Néro. As we had nothing to do until the afternoon activity, we wanted to enjoy the most of our time spent together. We stayed there for hours talking about many different subjects from russian litterature to the next time we will see each other or do coachsurfing by one and the others in the USA, France, Italy, Germany, Ukraine or the Netherlands. I am glad we were able to spend that mornig together, it was really nice !

After lunch, we met at Somerville in order to join the group going to the Botanical garden of Oxford. Many people signed up and we were supposed to be thirty but we ended up being seven, probably because of the certificate ceremony going on at the end of the afternoon.

The garden was spectacular ! I would never had imagined that Oxford had so many different types of flowers and plants. The garden was colorful and the atmosphere very joyful. A group of women was enjoying a picnic on the grass and playing games while others were following a guide who knew all about the garden.

After the tour, we prepared for the Certificate ceremony and the Farewell dinner. Everyone got dressed up for the special occasion and we all forgathered at Oriel’s College.  There, everyone received the diplomas and the grades, a lot of photos were taken from all sides and it was a nice way to mark the occasion. I looked forward to the three course meal and to discover the dining hall. Of course everything was delicious, there were even special halal and vegan meals for me and my friend which I found was very thoughful. The place reminded me of a Harry Potter movie and it was great to be able to eat in such a place ! After the dinner, most of us went to a pub and then dancing for our last night together. It was awesome and I had a really good  time.

When the time for goodbyes came in the evening, it was very emotional and sad of course to leave our friends. But I am very confident in saying that everyone has had a great time, met many wonderful people and benefited from this amazing experience in many ways.

So thank you to CBL and to the staff  ! I  enjoyed being part of this program and having an overview of what it is like to be a student in Oxford University !
