This morning we had our final class of European Business Law. We learned about the importance of freedom of movement of workers and freedom of services between the member states of the union. It’s extremely interesting and relevant to learn about these concepts when in Europe. Often in the classroom back home, the concepts we learn can seem farfetched and difficult to apply in reality. However, in the United Kingdom, the concepts of European Business Law actually operate every day.

I had a very lazy (and relaxing) day today. After class, we went into town for lunch and we wandered around, being sure to take in the surrounds of Oxford. It’s crazy to think that it’s our second last day here for the trip. Some of the girls wanted to do some shopping, so they stayed in the city. As for me, my luggage is already bursting with clothes, so I returned back to Somerville college for a cheeky nap. I had to fit some study in before our test tomorrow, as well as catch up on some administrative things like emailing and planning the rest of my Europe trip.

Tonight, I am meeting a friend who has lived in Oxford for a few months. She’s the closest thing to a local, so perhaps she’ll show me Oxford from a non-tourist perspective! After that, CBL has organised a movie night which fits in perfectly with the theme of my lazy day. I’m hoping to get a good night’s sleep, as tomorrow is an extremely busy day.

We have the European Business Law test in the morning, followed by a Farewell Lunch at Oriel College, last minute shopping and sightseeing and then Farewell drinks!
