Today was a bittersweet day because time had finally come for me to leave this wonderful city that has been my home for two weeks. The day started off with my final breakfast at the Dining Hall at St. Anne’s College, which was where my dorm was located.

Once my friends and I finished our breakfast, which we secretly tried to prolong, we went back to our rooms and got our bags in order to check out before 10 am and catch the shuttle (if you chose to use one) which then took you to the airport so that you could catch your flight back home.

Of course there was a classic teary farewell and final hugs were exchanged as we all headed in our separate directions. But this experience has been absolutely brilliant and I know that it made each one of us delegates smile as we reminisce all the good times and good friends we made! After all, WE MADE IT TO OXFORD and we survived it!

Of course no trip can be completely perfect and I thank my lucky stars that I was able to get my private bathroom as the shared bathroom was often quite messy and did not sit well with most delegates. But CBL International does allow for a premium package that allows you to not only get your own toilet, an expensive theatre ticket and a sim card, just for a few extra pounds and is honestly such a steal.

One thing that I will deeply miss from this whole trip is being able to go to the office and signing up for all the interesting, already paid for extra-curricular activities planned each day and meeting the lovely staff and porters.

This experience was a perfect balance of study and sight-seeing. What was even better was that the courses done could transfer over as credits for some subjects at some Universities such as mine. More so, this course allowed me to become friends with people from all over the world and allowed me to learn about so many new cultures.

So, thank you CBL International for making it possible and thank you Oriel College for hosting us! Until the next time…
