This morning, we had another fascinating class on European Business Law. We focused on how importations from one European Union member state can be restricted by another member state. The content is a bit tricky for me, as I haven’t studied Business Law before and I don’t come from a European Union background either. Luckily, the professor is so knowledgeable and is able to explain the difficult concepts to all of us. We did another set of practice problems, which again helped to solidify all the concepts we learned during the class.

For lunch, we ventured to Covered Market, which is a really cool part of Oxford as it encompasses a whole bunch of shops under the one roof. We ate at Pie Minister because the long line of people waiting to get in intrigued us. The people were obviously onto something because the pies were absolutely delicious!

In the afternoon, we had a croquet tournament on the beautiful lawns at Somerville College. Croquet is a sport originating from London and requires real skill! We had to hit wooden balls through small hoops using a mallet. We really struggled to control our shots at first, but after a while, we were playing like professionals! It was a perfect sunny afternoon playing sport with friends – something I’ll really miss in a few days time when the course finishes!

Tonight we have a quiz night run by the Residential Advisors at Somerville College. We have entered into teams of five and everyone will be competitive because CBL has promised some amazing prizes for the top three teams!
