The CBL International Summer Institute at Oriel College Oxford offer programmes for college students as well as graduates and professionals to spend an unforgettable summer studying abroad in Oxford, UK.You’ll have the opportunity to live in university dorms, relax in the picturesque quads, and enjoy meals offered in the spectacular dining halls. The Summer Institute offers a wide variety of topics and courses to choose from where all lectures are given by qualified lecturers, tutors, or university professors at Oriel College, University of Oxford (UK).

Summer Session 2: 15 July – 28 July 2018
Summer Session 3: 29 July – 11 August 2018
Summer Session 4: 12 August – 25 August 2018
Summer Session 5: 26 August – 8 September 2018

For 2018, we’re offering 5 summer sessions starting on 2 July and ending on 9 September, 2018. Each summer session lasts for two weeks, during which time students will partake in intensive lectures based on the course topic chosen. In addition to lectures, we’ve balanced our programmes with many social events, visits to successful businesses and institutions, as well as excursions to famous places and historical landmarks. The Summer Institute is a fun, eventful programme where we hope participants will not only learn, but also meet life-long friends from around the world while getting a clear understanding of the British culture.

Company Visits

On top of receiving world-class lectures, you’ll have the chance to travel to London to visit renowned business and law institutions, corporations, and banks to interaction with enterprise representative, lawyers, and managers. We are always adding new locations to our programmes, therefore, the actual company or institution you visit will be decided closer to the programme start date. Excursions & Activities

In addition to the already packed timetables, we’ve included many leisure activities for you to participate in. You’ll also have the opportunity to travel to various famous attractions and historical landmarks of the United Kingdom via guided coach tours. Receive College Credits

Not only will you receive one of the most memorable experiences in your life, every week of the Summer Institute is equivalent to 2-3 ECTS or 1-1.5 US credits. For example, for attending a 4-week session, you could receive 8-12 ECTS or 4-6 US credits from your college or university. Because regulations and policies are different for every university, please check with your study abroad or international studies department for credit availability and procedures.

Accommodation

Our university courses include single room accommodation with shared bathrooms within the University of Oxford (UK) or University of Cambridge (UK) dormitories. All the rooms are within walking distance of the teaching rooms and dining halls.

Breakfast is included with all university course programmes. If you would like lunch and dinner provided for you, there is an additional charge of 370 GBP per summer session (2 weeks).
