A true work hard-play hard day!

I’ve been eating way too much (although we have been walking loads too!) but breakfast today had to be just oats :) Today was an all-class day with 2 sessions of Intellectual Property Rights – we all know a little bit about copyrights, trademarks and patents but the session made the topics come alive with lots of cool photos getting us to point out what aspect of IP was in question. The afternoon session covered the evolution of patent law, bringing it all the way to the present time and how Brexit impact European Patent law. I quite enjoyed the afternoon session too – it was like listening to a story to appreciate how we came to be where we are with respect to patents. This is also the course for which we have an assessment tomorrow and some of my classmates are quite stressed :) We’ll see how it goes.

Most of us joined the evening’s pub quiz @ the Royal Blenheim Pub. Our group split into 2, and went through a few rounds of quiz questions on music, geography, some current affairs and even identifying dog breeds. There certainly was competition between us and the second group from our class. Guess which of our teams won? :D Great experience – and a great way to catch up with friends over a drink. There was also a cheese raffle that we were very sure we would win – ah well, the cheese unfortunately got moved.

p.s. – note we are all also revising notes from our Tax class from yesterday, as shown in the photo below.
